At Krokstrom Construction, we are committed to delivering exceptional bathroom remodeling services that meet or exceed your expectations. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding refunds for our construction services.

Design Consultation Services

For design consultation services:

  • Full refund available if canceled within 24 hours of scheduling
  • 50% refund available if canceled more than 48 hours before appointment
  • No refund for cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled appointment
  • Refunds processed for consultations not performed due to our scheduling conflicts

Construction Projects

For construction and remodeling projects, refund terms vary based on project stage:

Pre-Construction Phase

  • Full refund of deposits if project is canceled before materials are ordered
  • Partial refund may apply if some design work or permits have been completed
  • Custom materials already ordered are non-refundable

During Construction

  • Refunds calculated based on work completed and materials used
  • Client responsible for materials delivered to job site
  • Labor charges apply for work performed to cancellation date
  • Restocking fees may apply for unused materials that can be returned

Material and Fixture Policies

Regarding materials and fixtures:

  • Custom-ordered materials are typically non-refundable
  • Standard materials may be returnable subject to supplier policies
  • Restocking fees range from 15-25% depending on item and supplier
  • Special order items require manufacturer approval for returns
  • Opened or installed materials cannot be returned

Quality Issues and Defects

If you are unsatisfied with work quality:

  • We will first attempt to remedy any quality issues at no charge
  • Multiple repair attempts may be required for complex issues
  • Partial refunds may be considered if issues cannot be resolved
  • Third-party evaluation may be required for dispute resolution

Client-Initiated Changes

When clients request changes during construction:

  • No refunds for work completed according to original specifications
  • Additional costs apply for modifications and change orders
  • Materials purchased for original design are non-refundable
  • Timeline extensions may result from scope changes

Force Majeure

In cases of events beyond our control (weather, supply chain issues, permit delays):

  • Projects may be delayed without penalty to either party
  • Payments made for uncompleted work may be held until project resumption
  • Mutual agreement may be reached for project cancellation
  • Material costs already incurred are non-refundable

Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact us in writing with your refund request
  2. Provide detailed explanation of the reason for refund request
  3. Allow 5-10 business days for review of your request
  4. Refunds are processed within 10-15 business days of approval
  5. Refunds are issued to original payment method when possible

Dispute Resolution

If disagreements arise regarding refunds:

  • We encourage direct communication to resolve issues
  • Third-party mediation may be pursued if necessary
  • Binding arbitration may be required as specified in contracts
  • Wisconsin state laws govern all refund policies
